Q: What is the difference between a Personal Chef and a Private Chef?
A: A Private Chef is employed by one individual family full time. A Personal Chef serves several clients, usually one per day, and provides multiple meals that are custom designed to the clients particular tastes. The meals are packaged and stored so the client may enjoy them at their leisure.

Q: Do you have to cook in my kitchen?
A: Yes, we have to cook in your kitchen. It would be nice to cook the meals at home for you and deliver them. However, transporting cooked food is considered a catering business. A catering business, by law, must have a commercial kitchen approved by the Department of Health.

Q: How long does it take to cook the food?
A: Since everything is made from scratch, it generally takes about 5 hours to prepare the meals, package the food and clean the kitchen.

Q: Can you use my containers?
A: Uniform size containers take up less storage space in your refrigerator. Therefore, we will bring our own recyclable containers every service at no extra charge to you. This will also eliminate the need to keep rotating and cleaning containers. Thus, eliminating the risk of food borne illness.

Q: How difficult is it to heat meals?
A: Heating the meals is easy and convenient. We will leave detailed heating instructions for each meal and each container will have a label with reheating instructions to ensure that each item is cooked properly.

Q: How long will the food last?
A: We work with the client to determine the best level of service depending on the client’s lifestyle, eliminating the risk of spoiled food.

Q: Aren’t Personal Chefs for the rich and famous?
A: The same thought was prevalent a few years ago regarding housecleaning and landscape services. Now these services are considered affordable luxuries. When you consider the cost of groceries, the time to plan a variety of healthy meals, shopping, cooking and clean up time, you will find the price of a personal chef service to be quite affordable.

Q: What kinds of food can you prepare?
A: We are skilled in many cuisines. The variety of recipes available are endless and we are able to create any dish you may desire. Our focus is on nutritional balance, quality ingredients and proper portions.

Q: Do I have to be home while you are cooking?
A: It is up to you. Most clients prefer the chef cook while they are away from the house.
